As a new learner driver before you can take the Practical Driving Test you must take
and pass the theory driving test.
Theory driving test is made up of two parts, multiple choice questions and the hazard
perception test.
Multiple choice for cars you will be given 50 questions in 57 minutes with the pass
mark being 43 out of 50.
Hazard perception for cars - you will be presented with 14 video clips. You’ll need
to respond to the developing hazard during the early part of its development. The
pass mark is 44 out of a possible 75.
